Childbirth Education

Everyone deserves an informed and empowered birth. Our classes are where that confidence starts — honest teaching, small groups, zero judgment.

What It Is

A Class That Tells You the Truth

Hospital tours show you the rooms. We show you everything else: how labour actually unfolds, what each intervention means, how to talk to your provider, and what the first 48 hours with a newborn really feel like.

Classes run in small groups across Greater Boston, with private sessions available for families who want the curriculum tailored to their birth plan.

What's Included

Everything in the Classroom

a.

Labour, Start to Finish

Stages of labour, timing contractions, when to go in, and what happens in triage — demystified.

b.

Pain Relief Options

Breath, movement, water, nitrous, epidural — the benefits, trade-offs, and choices of each, honestly covered.

c.

Interventions & Advocacy

Inductions, monitoring, cesareans: what they mean and the questions that keep you in charge of decisions.

d.

Birth Plan Workshop

Leave with a one-page birth plan your provider will actually read — and backups for every scenario.

e.

Partner Coaching

Hands-on practice for birth partners: counter-pressure, positioning, and how to advocate under pressure.

f.

Newborn Basics

Feeding, soothing, sleep, and what's normal in week one — so the homecoming feels familiar, not frightening.
